In the Stones series, Humberto Lemos proposes to transpose the silent vastness of Icelandic landscapes into the imaginary board of a chess game. The scattered stones across the calm surface of the water emerge as pieces in motion, positioned in subtle compositions where strategy is suggested but never fully revealed.
